1968 Retrospective
Happy New Year from the WPA Film Library!
How can one year go down in history as having been so momentous? If the Sixties are characterized as turbulent, images from 1968 provide a snapshot of the changing times.
Start the year with WPA’s 1968 retrospective, a short sampling of key scenes from the year that defined the decade: MLK, RFK, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, OJ Simpson, the Prague Spring, Paris riots, youth culture and more. These clips are not exhaustive but they provide glimpses into the era, as well as into the collections of the WPA Film Library.
Special Offer!
During 2008, WPA is offering producers a special discount: If your project tackles one of the many significant events of 1968, please mention this ad and we will WAIVE our in-house transfer fees for the entire project (valid for one project per client).
