| Description: | Master 3 - Tape 1 Great 1950s footage of a "Woman's Club" (actually, this is footage of the contestants in the Miss Excerpt from Oregon pageant but it could also pass for a finishing school class for debutantes. They could be any typical 'women's club' tea party set from the 50s) A group of women walk down the street (yellow stop sign in background) towards camera - looking as prim and proper as could be. All smiles too. In colorful, fashionable dresses, hats and gloves. Spring weather, looks like they're dressed for Easter. They file into a house; cuts to shot of some of the girls on a couch, holding cups and saucers, talking politely. Everyone looks posed and stiff but smiling. Two shot of women on a couch in a private chat, they laugh. MS woman at table, pours tea from a silver tea set and hands the cups to women who appear one by one. CU woman talking/smiling - camera pans to her friend who is also talking. (Great side view features a white flower earring). Several nicely composed, posed shots of women drinking tea. | |
