| Description: | Shaky, dull in contrast and imagery A fast freight, hurrying down a clear track at midnight, hurtles into a truck-load of men and youths returning from a political rally. While a few leap to safety, twenty-two of the truck’s occupants are swept to death by the terrific impact. Bodies are flung or carried hundreds of feet and the wreckage of the machine strews the right-of-way for scores of yards. The driver's reason for passing cars waiting at the track remains a mystery shrouded by his death. | |
