| Description: | A GUINEA ENTERTAINER (aka TAME MICE) An early comedy film about tame mice running around a house causing havoc. United Kingdom Woman preparing for visitors; greets a man at door carrying mice in a cage. 3 other women friends arrive. With many bows; etc. the man takes out the mice to give a show. Woman knocks over table with mice. Of course all the women have mice phobia; they clutch at their skirts and jump up on chairs while the man chases mice. He chases mice into fireplace and up chimney; apparently getting stuck. One lady pulls on his legs while the others form a row behind her each pulling on the waist of the one in front, but just end up pulling his pants off! Next; a little mouse making its way along the roof away from the chimney. The man (wearing jacket & long underwear) climbs out throught the chimney; crawls along roof. Cut to room w/ a woman in bed; man climbs through window and runs around looking for mice. The woman hops up and runs round the room; thinking the man is chasing her! She runs out the door. The man is under the bed; rising up w/ bed on top of him. Film suddenly ends there. Slapstick; silly; wacky; funny; fears | |
