| Description: | "A GYPSY CORONATION". Baildon. Carriages with Romany gypsies on arriving for the ceremony of coronation of the British Gypsy King. A man to be crowned is sitting on the dais surrounded by several Gypsies - they are all wearing traditional costumes. Large crowd gathered around looking on. The The man rises and speaks (natural sound) - two women behind him playing Gypsy music, one is playing fiddle and the other accordion. The speech sounds like some sort of traditional Gypsy routine - he asks a question and they answer. He is 'crowned' with a large hat with feathers on. Several women bow before he leaves his throne quite happy followed by women - Gypsies singing around. | |
