| Description: | A LITTLE FROM THE LONDON REVUE AT THE LYCEUM THEATRE LONDON Extract from the show "London Revue" featuring George Carney and Minnie Low. First, LS chorus girls wearing bathing suits perform a dance which includes swimming motions. Then form a kickline, etc. They exit in a long line, each girl holding the waist of the girl in front - like a caterpillar. MS George Carney talking to young man in uniform; Carney gives him a shove, pushing him offscreen. CU Carney. Next, the young man (age 17) and his 15 year old partner, who really looks several years younger, perform a very silly slapstick version of ballroom dance, incl. some acrobatics & silly bits. She goes to throw her arms round him but he's fallen to the floor, he dips her & she goes down backward straight as a board, etc. In BG on risers a chorus of men in drag w/ fluffy blonde wigs and more guys in tuxedos. Music hall, vaudeville, comedy, funny, chorus line | |
