| Description: | A nation in mourning. At obsequies of late King of Rumania - "Ferdinand the beloved". Bucharest, Rumania M/S funeral cortege with the coffin mounted on a horse drawn gun carriage. It makes its way slowly through a street thronged by crowds. There are soldiers on either side, some mounted and some on foot at the front and rear. C/U of the carriage as it passes close to the camera. It is heavily draped with flags. Mourners follow. Women wear headdresses and heavy veils. There are also churchmen in orthodox robes and headgear leading the procession. Old soldiers all wearing medals shoulder the coffin. Ladies in veils leave the church, making the sign of the cross. | |
