One has a lighter in the top and a girl uses it to light her cigarette - the clock is wound each time the lighter is used. We see modern watches - a man's pocket watch that is extremely thin and has the dial protected by small shutters. A girl puts on a very small and elegant watch with a safety clasp. C/U of the watch face with a shilling and a match head either side of it to show how tiny it is. A man's wristwatch has a reversible face that can be turned over to protect the glass. C/Us of a watch being unscrewed at the back. The entire 'movement' is removed and a new one taken from a tube and fitted into the watch case. | |
