England "Prince Of Wales leads thousands of ex-servicemen and women in great torch light pilgrimage to the cenotaph." Soldiers, wearing busbies, march along. The Prince of Wales marches too, wearing medals. They are followed by a brass band and other people who carry torch lights, long twisted candles in the dark. They continue to march, and there is a final shot of the Cenotaph at night, with the flames of the torch light procession in front of it. "Thousands attend deeply impressive service in Birmingham" L/S high angle of crowds gathered in a square, standing in prayer. Mayors march with other dignitaries and a wreath is laid. Others walk up to a memorial with huge wreaths. There is a long procession of policemen and women. | |
