United Kingdom MS end of pool table; via film trick a man in a tuxedo fades into view poised to shoot; 3 billiard balls are in a tight spot. Next shot looking down the table to the player bending over the other end; he shoots cue toward camera, it hits side, rolls back and hits the side where it started, then comes back again closer to the rail and splits up 2 balls sitting there. MCU man shoots cue toward rail; on the rail is a coin sitting next to a glass. CU the cue ball hits the edge of the coin, sending it flipping up in the air and into the glass. Next, MLS he places 2 cues side by side on the table w/ handles in a corner, puts a black ball on the table at the lower end of the cues and a white ball up on other end of the cues. He takes another white ball, banks it off the side; it hits 3 sides then hits the cues at about their midpoint, and somehow rolls up the cues toward the corner, bounces off the ball there, rolls back down the cues and hits the black ball. For his next shot he banks the cueball off 3 sides, it rolls into a paper bag, the force turns the bag around and the ball rolls out again and hits a black ball. Finally, MLS pool table w/ drinking glasses arranged all over it and a couple balls in one corner. The pool expert makes the ball ricochet off 6 different points on the table before hitting the other balls - and all without touching a single one of the glasses. | |
