He asks her to marry him; she throws her arms around him. But.. the girl looks worried; points offscreen. CU elderly man sleeping on porch. Young man asks the father and walks away w/ heavy heart. (He has been told he must prove himself by performing a few tests). He drives horse & wagon over a train crossing; just in front of approaching train; somehow this causes a big explosion. BOOM! Cut to another man helping him up. He rides a bicycle over a lift bridge that is going up. He makes it over; falling down to the other side. Finally he rides a race horse and is thrown. He returns to home of his loved one and her father and after some argument; the father grants his permission and blessing on their marriage. | |
