| Description: | The majestic Nile valley where a major project of vital importance to Egypt's agricultural and economic development nears competition. The Aswan High Dam project requires the relocation of one hundred, seventeen thousand Nubian natives who were moved to new villages. Each new settlement includes a school, health center and even a social center, plus new luxuries like electricity and running water. The world famous ancient Abu Simbel temple's of Ramses II and his Queen are removed to higher land, in one of the biggest moving jobs ever attempted. More than one-thousand thirty-ton sections were re-assembled on the new site. The gigantic monument survived the move without mishap and got a newly constructed dome and home overlooking the Nile.
