Kishi is shown by the balloting by the liberal Democratic Party for his successor as party leader and Prime Minister. After 3-years in office he resigned because of the violent student rallies protesting the controversial Japanese / American mutual security pact whose ratification was the climax of his career. Kishi successor, the former Minister of trade Hioto Akita is expected to continue pro-western policies. Later while attending a party for his successor Kishi was attacked by a right wing fanatic. Here he is shown being carried by friends to a car suffering from six stab wounds in his thigh. Teriyaki Aramatie was seized on the scene a member of a small fanatic group he has no connection to anti government students. Kishi (?) speaks at podium. Audience of MS Japanese men applaud.
