Group of babies in cots sleeping. A man buys flowers in a William Morgan's flower shop. Women line up for ration books at the Food Office. Good shots of children's clothes in shop windows; women stop to gaze. A woman is served inside a draper's shop. M/S of a woman in a turban walking along a high street pushing a pram. In James Smith's nursery shop women look at prams and cots. Two women stop and look in a chemist window. Inside, several women are served baby goods by manager Mr Thomas and staff. In a Lew Evans' jewellery shop, women look at christening gifts. A postman takes a bundle of letters to maids or nurses standing at a door.
