| Description: | COLOUR PICTORIALS Baby sitter artists. Story about an artists' club whose model has a young child; the artists have to babysit while mom poses. Streatham Art Club, White Lion Hotel, London. M/S of a young woman, Thelma Gibson, sitting in a studio while a group of men and women sketch her; she is wearing a peach-sarong type garment. C/U of the model, surrounded by paintings; M/S of four men and one woman sketching; high angle C/U of another woman's work as she draws. M/S of Thelma posing before the group as her 15-month-old son, Raymond, runs into shot towards Thelma, then runs off. He appears next to one of the male artists and fiddles with the man's paints while the commentator tells us his father is on National Service in Germany, so these amateur artists act as baby-sitters. Raymond toddles about the group, looking at their pictures; one of the artists attracts the others' attention and we then see Raymond sitting on the floor with a drawing board and paper before him. His face and clothes are covered with paint daubs and he has painted a figure shape on his paper. C/Us of some of the artists smiling and Raymond painting. Ms taken from above of little boy painting. Cu picture dreadful mess. Cu little boy's face covered in paint. | |
