	Description:	MID-LENT CELEBRATION IN SITTARD Children scramble for 'mid-Lent-Crescents' in traditional Dutch pre-Easter ceremony. Sittard, Holland (Netherlands). SV. Bakers in Sittard loading their carts up with crescents which were baked for distribution to the youth on the Sunday Laetare (mid-lent). SCU. Camera pans as woman comes out of shop with basket and loads more of the bread into the cart. SCU. The crescents are stacked high in front of camera inside the cart. SCU. Camera pans as horse-drawn wagon transports the bread to Kollenberg, a hill just outside the town and it is helped up slope by boys pushing behind. SV. Camera pans as bakers and others carry baskets of bread up to the hill. AS. Baker taking bread from a basket and throwing it from the top of the hill down to the crowds of children below. TV. Baker in foreground throwing bread down below where crowds of children try to catch some. LV. Bakers standing along the top of the hill throwing down the bread to the children. Camera pans down to show masses of children swarming up hillside in attempts to get some of the bread. SV. Children on the hillside reaching out for the bread. SV. Children on the hillside reaching out for the bread thrown down to them. GV. Swarms of children on hillside as the bread is thrown down to them. SV. Bakers lined along the top of the hill throwing the bread. TV. Bread raining down onto the children below. SV. Children scrambling for the bread. Boys to the fore get some but little girl cannot manage to get any. TV. Baker proceeds to throw his whole basket of bread to the children then fills up basket with more bread. GV. Grownups as well as children try to get some of the bread. TV. One of the bakers swings his basket over his head, no bread comes from it but he hits another baker with it and knocks him to the ground. AS. Children swarm up the hillside in attempt to get bread. TV. One baker with only two pieces of bread left in basket, throwing a piece to the children. Camera pans across and another baker stretches out arms to explain that he has no more bread. SV. Three small children sitting on grass eating some of the crescents. SV. More young children sitting and eating bread. SV. Man giving two of the crescents to a horse.
