He extract a cone and wipes off bees with a feather. CS. His face as he works. ML S. He carries the cone over to his workbench. MS Removing a grub from one of the cones. CS. Placing the grub in small round container. MS Picks up small round containers and carries them away. MS Places the containers by the side of another hive. then removes the top of the hive by opening two slots. CS. Opening the top - and sliding the containers into the hive - he closes the top again and replaces lid. MS He walks across to another hive and removes the lid. CS. Extracting one of the cones and removing bees with feather. CS. His face. CS.Removing the containers from this cone and placing them in small boxes with glass sides. CS. Bee newly hatched leaving its grub housing? MS Man sitting at his bench removes Queen Bee from the jar he begins to push it into a glass tube. CS. He places another glass tube over the other end of the bee - blows into the first - this blows the bee down the 2nd tube and leaves it half in and half out. He places rubber tube on the end of this tube to ensure supply of CO2 to the bee. At bee and glass are clamped in microscope. MS Placing make bee under microsope. MS Extracting stern from the male bee. & CS. MS Places the dead male bee aside and begins preparing the Queen Bee. CS. His face as he looks in the micoscope CS. Injecting Queen Bee. he removes the bee and glass tube from micrscope. MCS. He blows the Queen Bee out of the tube and places her back in the box. MS He gets up from the bench carrying small box with him. MS He opens a hive - extracts a cone and places the box on same. CS. Attaching the box to the cone other bees can already be seen in side it with the queen. MS Replacing cone and lid on hive. CS. Bees on the outside of the hive. CS. Mass of bees on a cone a pencil points out the Queen Bee in the midst of them. | |
