| Description: | BIRD BREVITIES - A NATURE STUDY Mr Gilbert the Naturalist films various birds including gulls, oyster-catcher, pied-flycatcher etc. L/S of a flock of seagulls with a mountain in the background. C/U of a gull. The black-headed gull is featured. It flies in and out of frame. "If anybody wants a job" said Mr. Gilbert the Naturalist, "try secreting yourself in a "hide" to catch the oyster-catcher, when the wintry winds do blow!" M/S of Mr Gilbert climbing into a very exposed hide. C/U of a bird snuggling down in some rocks. A pied-flycatcher is shown - it grabs on to the side of a tree near to a hole in the bark which is presumably its nest. Two of the birds fly backwards and forwards.
