| Description: | BLESSING THE SHAMROCK. Father Philip O.F.M. distributes the National Emblem to the Catholic Boys Brigade Ireland. M/S of a priest, Fr. Philip, standing at an outside altar with several altar boys on either side, behind them a crowd is watching the ceremony. On the alter is a stack of cardboard boxes, a man in a uniform (head of the Boys' Brigade?) is given a piece of shamrock by the priest, he salutes and marches away. More Boys' Brigade officers go up to the altar and receive boxes filled with shamrock. C/U of Boys' Brigade officers being passed individual pieces of shamrock and more boxes by Fr. Philip, the chief Boys' Brigade officer helps the priest. Some of the Boys' Brigade officers are very young, in their teens.
