M/S of the Africans in costumes. The chiefs are carried in hammocks under a canopy. M/S of one man dressed in a 'devil' outfit which makes him look like a big mop. The Duke laughs. Various shots of people and devils dancing along and playing instruments. One chief gets up and shakes hands with the Queen and Duke, he gets a commemorative medallion then returns to his hammock. Various shots as the parade continues. M/S of Queen at Kenema, she watches two little boys crushing seeds (?) with a big mortar and pestle. M/S of the Queen watching a man weaving, she enters a thatched house. M/S of the two little boys again. She emerges and watches a woman having her hair done while she breast feeds her baby, the Queen looks in a shack covered with leaves. She approaches a group of men and watches them playing a game where they have to knock each others spinning tops off a mat. M/S of the Queen visiting the Alluvial diamond mine at Hanger (?) the men and boys chant and sing whilst they work and dig out the earth in a big pit, they sift the muddy water and stones to find the diamonds. The Queen watches and is shown one of the diamonds. C/U of the diamonds in a man's hand. Various shots of the men at work as the Queen watches, she looks closely at the diamonds. Various shots of the Queen at Port Loko she sits on a platform and watches traditional dancing to drum and bell music. Various shots of the ornate costumes and tribal markings. Topless women do a traditional dance. M/S of fairylights on a tree, the camera pans down to the Queen in formal gown for state banquet in grounds of Paramount hotel. L/S of the guests. Prime Minister Sir Milton Margai makes a speech, the Queen stands up to reply. People applaud, various shots of the guests.
