M/S of a parade of (mostly male) students in fancy dress, some carry placards, one reads - "free hair cuts for lady students", another reads - "cheaper hash" (probably "mash" badly written but funnier if read as "hash"!). Brief M/S of the flapper girl graduates. C/U of the back of a female student's head; she wears a mortar board and has her hair cut in a daringly short bob, she turns and smiles at the camera.
