| Description: | (02:00:31 - 02:11:30) Opens to the Nighthawks in between songs, they soon start a slow blues song led off with a harmonica solo, good close up of harmonica player whose fore arms are covered in tattoos, good close up of guitarists hands on guitar - he plays slide guitar, good shots of keyboardist's hands in action, chorus to this song [Muddy Waters song called "She's Nineteen Years Old"] which guitarist sings "She's only 19 years old, she got ways like a baby child", harmonica plays two harmonicas - each a different octave - in another passionate solo, keyboard solo, slide guitar and harmonica solo off one another (02:11:33 - 02:17:58) Nighthawks go into another song right away, this one with more of a rock feel, this time the harmonica player sings "I owe my soul to the company store" [title: "Sixteen Tons"] - a song about the struggles of a miner, ripping behind-the-back guitar solo - guitarist literally holds guitar backwards behind his head and shoulders - he then continues the solo with his teeth, harmonica solo, drum solo as audience and band members clap along (02:18:00) Festival host NAT TURNER comes out to thank the Nighthawks and works the crowd (02:18:46 - 02:26:22) Turner introduces the Nighthawks playing an encore with harmonica player PHIL WIGGINS and guitarist SON SEALS, Turner sings "Don't forget the blues", two guitarists and two harmonica players exchange licks, Seals takes a guitar solo, Nighthawks harmonica player takes a solo - Wiggins fans the heat off of him playfully with his hat, Wiggins takes a harmonica solo then both harmonca players solo off one another, the two guitarists solo off one another - good shot which caputers both guitars and guitarists' hands as they solo (02:26:24) Credits role | |
