| Description: | Use catalog# 145084 for audio Tape A BUDGERIGAR GARDEN Budgies fly free from a special budgie-flap in Rosemary Upton's aviary. Margaretting, Essex. 300 budgies in a private backyard aviary in Margaretting; the aviary is in the yard of a Mrs. Upton, and it has an opening in the roof so that the budgies have the freedom to come and go at will. General shots of the aviary and shots of different colored budgies inside the aviary and in the trees in Mrs. U's garden. (Also some of Mrs. U herself.) M/S of an aviary; numerous budgies (parakeet) are perched inside; low angle M/S of pretty white and yellow budgies on a perch; others flutter around. C/Us of two yellow ones who seem to be kissing; another yellow budgie on the perch. C/U of a yellow and green budgie looking in through the hole of a nest-box; he then climbs on top of it, twitches and flies off. Low angle M/S of a line of budgies sitting on a branch, used in the aviary as a perch; more fly onto it. Commentator says the birds "owe their freedom to Mrs. Rosemary Upton who has constructed an exit in the roof of their home". We see Rosemary walk up to the aviary, climb up a ladder and take a square out of the roof; numerous birds come fluttering out. Commentator says "The exit is open all day, and the chatter from the birds remaining in the aviary - usually the hens occupied with their young - is quite enough to recall them". Low angle M/S of some budgies in a tree in the garden; Rosemary walks amongst the trees, looking up into them. C/Us of a little yellow budgie, perched on a branch in a tree and a blue and white one in a tree, shaking it's head and having a look around. | |
