GV. & nearer shot, Mr B. T. Davis's home at Birmingham (Chairman of the C.E.A.). CU. Pan, flowers in bloom in the front garden. STV. Tulips in bloom. CU. Tulip blooms. CU. Two pints of milk on doorstep together with the 'Daily Worker' 'Profits Soaring Up-Up-Up'. GV. Mr Davis in bed. CU. Mr Davis beneath sheet. CU. Alarm clock on table beside bed ringing, showing 8 a.m. SV. Mr Davis puts arm out of bed and feels for alarm clock to stop it. He succeeds to stop clock and puts arm back in bed. CU. Alarm clock starts to ring again and Mr Davis puts both arms out of bed to reach over and close the alarm clock into its case (natural sound of alarm clock fades here). Mr Davis has covered his face over again, to continue to sleep. LV. Mr Davis starts to sit up and yawn and stretch. CU. Mr Davis rubbing his eyes and stretching his arms. SV. Mr Davis stretching his arms, he reaches round to press bell for his breakfast to be brought in. CU. Hand pressing bell. LV. Mrs Davis walks into bedroom with breakfast tray which she places on bed by Mr Davis. He rubs his hands. BV. Mrs Davis opening bedroom curtains. AS. From outside, Mrs Davis opens the window. CU. Mr Davis eating breakfast. SV. Mrs Davis using feather duster to clean photo of Mr Davis. CU. Photo being dusted. SV. Mrs Davis dusting. LV. Mr Davis interrupts the dusting to kiss his wife goodbye. CU. Kiss. SV. Mrs Davis continues to dust. GV. Mr Davis closes the front door and meets his chauffeur. LV. Towards and pan, the chauffeur and Mr Davis riding along road on a tandem. Mr Davis trying to read his morning newspaper from the back of the chauffeur. CU. Pan, Mr Davis trying to read his newspaper while cycling on the tandem behind the chauffeur. GV. GV. Conference room with delegates seated around table Mr Davis arrives and shakes hands with chairman and takes his seat. LV. Down the conference table. SV. Delegate SV. Delegates standing at bar as awaits brings a tray with cheese and biscuits. CU. Delegate. CU. Lump of cheese on plate being cut. CU. Mr Davis smiling. AS. A Woman appears and calls Mr Davis to the phone. SV. Pan Mr Davis as he leaves to answer phone. CU. Mr Davis on phone. CU. Mr Davis telling the delegates that he has to leave. CU. Doorman outside Marshal and Snelgrove SV. Mr Davis walking into Marshal and Snelgroves. GV. Restaurant. GV. Mr Davis and his secretary enjoying lunch. CU. Pan over food. CU.
