| Description: | "Now for a Topical glance of the 'Ca c'est Paris' the famous French Revue at the Prince of Wales' Theatre, London." Begins with intertitle: "Spectacular and splendid - the wonderful 'Deep-Sea Treasures' Scene (with Don & Dorette, the Speciality Dancers)". A man dressed in a deep sea divers costume acts out hitting a sunken ship with a metal tool. This obviously wakes a group of sensationally dressed sea creature women! Amazing costumes and headgear are paraded for the audience and us. Sparkly, sensuous and sensational! Shots of the backstage team are intercut with shots of the incredible costumes. Men fiddle with stage lighting and scenery in the wings. There is also a short shot of the orchestra in the pit. Don and Dorette emerge, he holds her aloft and she bends backwards, ending in a contortionist style pose. "And meet Mr Paul Berny, he of the lightning eye and hand." Demonstration of juggling prowess follows to the tune of "Goodnight Sweetheart". One of the things Paul uses in his juggling act is a tennis racket." "Thirty-two shapely limbs that move as one - the 16 Helen Jackson Girls." Fabulous routine by the gorgeous Helen Jackson Girls as they do a tap dance which symbolises the Chicago Express Train. It is superb! | |
