Fade into M/S of various girls dressed in Eastern costume dancing in a floor show at Murray's Cabaret Club in Soho, London; some couples are seen sitting at tables by the crowded dance floor. Fade into M/S of five showgirls in summer dresses in the garden of a country house near Guildford in Surrey; they sit on sun loungers and sip drinks through straws. Fade into another cabaret floor show scene at the club; various shots of the girls in scanty costumes in what seems to be a kind of voodoo tableau; some girls are dressed as angel/devils with halos, wings and golden head-horns; others shake golden cocktail shakers. The roulette girl enters, followed by two girls in skeleton costumes; very bizarre! Music on the soundtrack is a kind of brassy jazz with an African beat; most of the girls don't appear to be very talented dancers, but the floor is so crowded you don't really notice. | |
