MLS Girl and man with bananas followed by other passengers towards gangway of plane. They start to ascend.MCS.Taken from inside plane shows passengers attop of gangway. Man with bananas moves into plane followed by other passengers. MS People waving goodbye to plane. Man is holding dog. MS Shows back of people waving goodbye. MS People waving goodbye. LS Plane taking off. It is airborne and flies away into distance. MLS Arrival of another plane taxiing along. LS Plane taxiing towards camera it stops airport buildings in b.g. A rural farmer is shown ploughing the land with a traditional ox and plough, and another leads a donkey up the street with a large burden of canes. MS Man leading two oxen into ploughed field. MS Man wearing straw hat moving along behind oxen. MCS Plough moving through earth man's feet in b.g. MLS Man leading oxen yoked to plough man at rear following. MLS Man walking beside overloaded donkey (canes?). They move out of frame. Shots of the mountains, houses. Beautiful coast with unspoilt beaches, are followed by a beach crammed with holiday makers. A girl has a huge straw hat. Some tourist children play in the edge of the water. LS Crowded beach with rocky hills in b.g. LS Crowded beach umbrellas etc. MS Beach couple in f.g. Girl sitting under umbrella rises to her feet and puts on a straw hat which man hands to her. They look towards bathers in water. MLS Children jumping in surf. MLS More children jumping in surf boy in f.g. jumps over large wave and falls in. MS Little girl playing on beach. A big wave comes and covers her feet. This is contrasted by a sequence showing the poverty and simple life of the locals showing fishermen in small rowing boats pulling them up the beach. The women share out the catch - mostly sardines, and they carry off the baskets on their heads. The men sort out the nets. This is at Puerto de las Nieves. Elsewhere, women are shown in a line washing on stones. Some people live in cave dwellings in the rocks, where we see a woman with child, various locals and the church. LS Two rocky hills against sky. These are the cave-dwellers' hills. MLS Holes in face of rock. MS Summit of hill camera pans down to show woman holding baby standing at door of cave. MS Woman wiping baby's face with towel. MLS Woman walks along in front of cave-doors carrying bottle. She walks up steps out of frame. MLS Man carrying branch of tree walks into cave-door. Old lady sits outside folding clothes camera pans up to top of rock where cactus-plant grows. We finally see a sequence with locals dancing in traditional dress in the main square, with others playing guitar, and people watching. MS Girls and boys in dance dress sit on steps. The boys variously play guitar and mendoline. Camera pans up to show other musicians and people watching in b.g. MS Girl in dance costume listening to music. MS Another girl she wears hat and veil.
