| Description: | Take 16mm prints of famous and not-so famous Hollywood films of the 1930's through 1950's, toss in some newsreel and documentary footage, edit them so as they vaguely seem seamless (should you abandon establishing and cohesive temporal elements of time, space and character) and you would end up with "Canned Corn". Bizarre stuff, folks, but very entertaining. Some of the ensuing material we do not have the rights to, while others are public domain, so please pay attention to the bold notes below. Lengthy Schlitz open (in color), followed by wacky title open (in B&W). Cut to newsreel montage: shots of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Capitol building, the crowning of Pope Pius XII, Nazi soldiers marching, the Hindenburg disaster, etcà (DO NOT USE!) excerpt from "Horse Feathers", starring the Marx Brothers (DO NOT USE!) excerpts from "A Lady Takes A Chance", starring John Wayne (DO NOT USE!) excerpt from "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman" starring Bela Lugosi as the Frankenstein monster and Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolfman newsreel of the Hindenburg disaster excellent newsreel of the air attack on Pearl Harbor (MS's Japanese officers conferring aboard battleship; TLSs Japanese fighter planes taking off; aerials of bombs being dropped on airfield; traveling LS's of smoldering, sinking American naval vessels) (DO NOT USE!) excerpt from "The Bank Dick", starring W.C.
