| Description: | CARNIVAL COSTUMES IN PAPER Making them, another Arts & Crafts at home story. Cute film showing lovely fancy dress costumes made from crepe paper. United Kingdom MCU woman sitting at table unfolds crepe paper. She traces on the paper around a plate and cuts out the circle. Later: woman has cut out a couple circles, some ribbons, a moon shape etc. She starts to paste things together. Much later: MS the woman shows a circle with ribbon hanging from it; she attaches this to a great big piece of crepe paper which already has a bunch of other circles with ribbons stuck on it. MLS woman enters now wearing the carnival costumeàa sleeveless dress with a lot of these circles and ribbons on it; she also wears bands tied around her head, a paper ruff around her neck, and she carries more crepe paper circles on long stems like some kind of modernistic flowers. MS woman sitting in chair. Next we are treated to a series of crepe paper costumes; titles talk about how easy this is but some of these outfits look quite complicated. First there's a thing that is supposed to represent some sort of flora - it has sort of leafy fringe hanging from everywhere, she has a band around her waist with a weird wire circle hanging from it and bouncing around her hips - sort of like the top hoop of a hoop skirt; more leafy fringe hangs from this hoop. To top it off she's wearing a cone-shaped hat. MS another lady, wearing a costume that looks like she's wearing all the decorations at a political event - the skirt is of many layers and is reminiscent of bunting, and she wears a matching headdress - a striped half circle of crepe strips; she carries a dainty bouquet. MLS this woman stands up, greets another woman in another layered skirt with a top that is all fringe, and giant butterfly wings on her back. MCU back view showing the butterfly.
