| Description: | CHAMPION PEKINESE Pampered Pekes story takes a gruesome turn when the dogs are dressed up for a wedding ceremony! Brickett Wood, Hertfordshire. C/U of a group of Pekinese dogs in a garden of the Toydon Kennels. M/S of the dogs milling about; a woman, Mrs Hurlock is seen petting them; Alexandra Williams, who runs the kennels, enters shot, picks up one of the dogs and carries him off. Fluffing up the face fur of Toydom Ts'Zee (the dog), Alexandra takes him into the house and puts him down on a little grooming table by the fireplace. The Peke is then brushed, perfumed and powdered; two other Pekes stand on a dog basket outside the window and peek in (sorry) at the pampered pooch. C/U of two rather soppy looking Pekes in separate dog baskets in the room. C/U of Ts'Zee being brushed as commentator tells us he is a Crufts champion of this year and has won 14 championships to date; M/S of several trophies and a large shield on the mantelpiece. C/U of a basket of five Pekinese puppies - Ts'Zee's offspring! There then follows a gruesome sequence where Ts'Zee and his 'girlfriend', Toydom Cherrey, are seen in their wedding outfits! He wears a suit and top hat, she wears a wedding dress, veil and earrings. Even worse, two of the pups are dressed as bridesmaids with little bouquets (their paws must be tied to the flowers). Alexandra and Mrs Hurlock hold the dogs in position as if for a wedding ceremony. | |
