Interior: Dr.uses stethoscope on toddler; kid in next bed watches. CU 1 yr old. Ext. 3rd branch.kids outdoors; some playing; others in beds or chairs; nurses attending; man pushes kid in wheeled bed. Cut to "story" (all acted?). Ambulance stops by house; group of poor people watch. Man & woman enter house w/ stretcher. In house crying mother kneels by child lying on pallet on floor. Broken window; general look of poverty. Mom helps lift little girl onto stretcher. They load stretcher into ambulance as neighbors gawk & mom cries. 01.08.27. Arrival at hospital: stretcher carried in. Examining room: doctor feels girl's leg; bends it; etc. X-Ray room: nurses put pad under leg; adjust machine; take X-Rays. Anaesthesia room: anaesthesiologist stands behind bed; puts cotton mask over girl's face & pad over her nose; then sprinkles drops of ether; talking to her as she falls asleep. Surgery: doctors & nurses prepare for operation on girl's leg. Next; many girls in beds in ward. Drs. & nurses around girl's bed. CU girl w/ doll; smiling; cute. Ext. Kids & nurses play circle game. Reunion: girl runs to happy mom; they embrace. CU same. Sweet happy scene. | |
