M/S of a big sign attached to a building featuring a cockerel with 'Chop Suey' written on it above a sign which says 'Sai Woo' with Chinese writing underneath. M/S of another sign which is a big bowl with chopsticks and steam coming out of the top. It has 'Chop Suey' written underneath and there is a sign with 'Sun Ah Hotel Roo' and Chinese writing on it at the side. M/S of a sign which says 'Ding Ho Drive In', the sign is only partly visible and there is some other writing underneath, the word 'foods' is visible. Above this are some rotating figures. M/S of a sign on a roof with two waiters carrying trays of food and drink. M/S of another chop suey sign on the side of a building. A man and a young child are looking out of a window next to it. L/S of a parade, two ladies dressed in red Chinese dresses and carrying a banner walk in front of a lady in a white polka dot dress and a drummer also dressed in red. A parade walks up the street and turns the corner where they start to follow the others, they are all dressed in red Chinese robes and head-dresses. Crowds line the street on each side and a building with 'The Bible Society' written on it is visible. M/S of part of the parade marching past the crowd, their costumes are visible in more detail. C/U of the two ladies with the red banner which says 'Seattle Chinese Community Girls Drill Team' followed by the female drummer. C/U of the girls in the parade marching, their costumes are red and gold and their head-dresses have red baubles on the top. C/U of the drum being played. L/S of a very ornate float turning the corner and driving past the crowds, it is draped in red coverings with a red white and blue piece of cloth covering the front. It has a Chinese canopy over the top. A sign saying 'Player's Please' and a Coca Cola sign are both visible in the background. M/S of some of the men and women in the crowd smiling at the parade, this includes a lady carrying a young boy. L/S of the golden dragon coming round the corner, it is 250 feet long and made of silk, it is carried by 300 men working in relays. M/S of the dragon's head which, like the body, is very ornate and multicoloured. L/S of the end of the dragon coming round the corner followed by another float. M/S of a man waving an ornate baton to taunt the dragon. C/U of the dragon's head. M/S of the man waving the baton again. M/S of men all dressed in blue trousers, white tops with red designs on them, and red caps walking alongside the dragon. C/U of the 'scales' on the dragon's back, these are green, red and gold. M/S of the dragon winding it's way up the street. L/S of another float coming round the corner, it has a wooden house on the back. C/U of a Chinese man carrying a flag. C/U of the large red flag with Chinese writing on it. L/S of other people in the parade carrying a large red standard. They are followed by a baby dragon. M/S of the baby dragon and the men underneath it. C/U of the dragon's head, it is very ornate and mainly black and white with orange eyelids which it blinks at the camera. C/U of a very large standard, it has an ornate multicoloured middle section and red banners round the outside. L/S of the baby dragon dancing along the street followed by another float.
