| Description: | On preview cassette # 991415 A or 201556 Note on leader: "Karl F. Wackman Christmas" Color (some good some bad) home movies of Christmas scenes in the late 1940s. Best shot is of Karl (probably) driving up to the house with a big tree lashed to the side of his '48 Dodge sedan. Holidays. Additional footage within- not in exact order: church (St. Johns), stained glass interiors, ext. church, buildings, backyard garden or public garden with fountain, some lounge chairs, POV shots from pontoon (plane) some shots of it on water skidding along, POV of above water, bridge (what city??) land, man in backyard picking (plums?) he's on ladder and takes a bite then throws it at camera laughing, walks away from ladder/tree towards us, more POV stuff of the pontoon plane, cat with a "health 0 meter" more kitty shots, garden ? statue of ? looks like a college campus (ivy league ish), lots of old buildings, kids at amusement park sitting on benches, a horse race? with mokeys, definitely monkeys around there, zoo, polar bear football, high school or college, homecoming?, marching band, baton twirlers, cheerleaders, shot from above in the stands looking down (spectators), a person in a gorilla? costume on float acting like a... and kickoff, (there's a brief shot of the homecoming queen I think) the christmas tree planted on side of car, takes tree off then poses with it and the cat and then he makes the cat hang from the tree! woman poses with tree, tree is very tall. Interior in house with window very bright, ext. of home? with decorations, plain looking decorations, mistletoe?? | |
