Moscow, Russia, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics / USSR GV Pan across to the circus tent of the International Circus "Shapyto" (comprising artists from nine socialist countries) in Moscow's Central Gorky Park. MS A circus horse is led past. MS A female performer with a circus dog balancing on its two front legs in the palm of her hand. MS Spectators entering the circus at dusk. MS Audience inside the Big Top. MS Three acrobats balancing on large balls. CU Pan up as the three acrobats balance on each other's shoulders, whilst one of them balances on a ball. MS Two trapeze artists performing. MS A man in a dinner suit performing at the top of a pole which is balancing on his partner's face below. VS A female dog trainer makes dogs go down a slide, jump in the air and drive a small motorbike and sidecar around the ring. MS Two clowns enact pulling a tooth. MS Two men in the audience collapsing in laughter. VS Jugglers performing on a ladder. A large group of acrobats doing their act. High shot, the acrobats jump onto springboards which propel their female act, backwards, up into a very high chair. GV The finale as all the acts come into the ring to take their bows and throw flowers into the audience.
