The calumet farm's great 3-yr-old wins the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico, with Eddie Aarcaro up to make it two-up-and-one-to-go for Racing's Triple Crown. Citation had easily swept the 1948 Triple Crown, his winning margins in the three races totaling seventeen lengths.
