| Description: | It's a foggy, foggy day in New York town, but it's a blacker day for the N.Y. Giants. Ending their worst season in 29 years, the pro footballers take a drubbing from Cleveland who wraps up the Eastern Conference Title, 52 to 20. Played under lights, though it's mid-afternoon, the game doesn't even come to an end as the fans rush on the field before the last touchdown is scored. New York, New York A very dismal foggy day at Yankee Stadium where throngs turn out for the football game in spite of the weather. The New York Giants meet the Cleveland Browns, quarter back YA Tittle throws the football and it is caught. Tittle again throws the ball and it is caught by Dick James in the end zone giving the Giants a 7 point lead. Sports spectators cheering. Cleveland Browns quarterback Frank Ryan carries the ball all the way to the end zone and fumbles, but the referee rules its a Browns touchdown. No 21 looses it and his teammate holds him back. Frank Ryan passes to Paul Warfield and it is caught at the 1 yard line. Frank Ryan passes to Jim Brown and he runs it into the end zone scoring another Cleveland Brown touchdown. Gary Wood comes in for Tittle and he passes the ball to Joe Morrison and runs the ball to the 10 yard line. Gary Wood passes the ball to Aaron Thomas he catches the football and it is a touchdown. There was suppose to be a kick for the extra point but the fans run on to the field and the referees throw up their hands and the game is over. The Giants finished their worse season in 29 years. Fans are tearing down the goal post. | |
