Unfortunately owing to the short delay just before Christmas, we've arrived back a few days later than intended. The object of our flight, which was planned sometime towards the end of October by DeHavilland Aircraft Company, was to prove to ourselves and to gain experience in the operation of the Comet III, which is being used as a prototype for the Comet IV, the production version of this aircraft. The aircraft has behaved quite extraordinarily well. Apart from our delay in Montreal, we had no delay whatsoever, throughout the whole of the world trip. The general reliability and ease of maintenance of this aircraft and engines has been outstanding." Angle shot, statue of Alcock and Brown. GV.
