| Description: | ON PREVIEW CASSETTE 97559 C 05.00.00 On a bright and cloudless day several hundred businessmen wearing white baseball caps converge on a desert outside of Las Vegas to watch a dozen construction machines do their respective jobs. MS of yellow sweatered cheerleader girl handing out said baseball caps to a line of men; a wide angle LS of two speakers addressing a packed bleacher of white hats (screen right) as American flag waves above them (screen left); a LS of a referee waving in the distant procession of construction equipment; a tight LS of said referee clowning with the cheerleader (cut to her in a dune buggy chasing after the pedestrian ref); the crane/hoe picking up a Chevy; a tight LS of the Lone Ranger waving @ crowd and getting into a lumber pulling tractor. There are lots of shots (LS,MS,CU) of the construction machines including the finale when they all line up at the center of the pit. The attendees then get off the bleachers and descend upon the machines to inspect them and drink cans of Coors. There is no narration but there is a mock-Souza march soundtrack. This film uses the same footage as WPA 1403 "The Big Sell". | |
