This is an old established industry, and Czechoslovak chains have a good name everywhere. Another product for export: grindstones. Czechoslovak machine-tools also have an excellent reputation throughout the world. The Strakonice Machine Tool Works send 40 grinding machines to the Soviet Union. The cases with the machines leave the workshops. Bohemian glass is also a much asked-for article abroad. The Inwald works at Podebrady are filling a large order for Turkey. A column of lorries carrying glass wares, sets out on the journey to the Orient. It will bring Turkish tobacco in exchange." | |
