| Description: | DANCE DANCE LITTLE GIRLS Children in a garden show off dances of various styles which they have learned in their dancing lessons. Excellent film showing young dancing girls including a 3 year old doing a Charleston. United Kingdom MLS a bunch of little girls ranging in age from c. 2 to 10 years, dressed up in a variety of "dancing dresses", ranging from ballerina type look with a tight bodice and wide skirt to a girl in a sort of gypsy/harem girl outfit with a scarf tied round her head and a skirt hanging in strips as if made out of scarves; their teacher is herself dressed in a very juvenile looking outfit with ruffled skirt and hair ribbons. The girls are all bouncing around and kicking their legs high. MS teacher holding hand of smallest girl, teaching her the kick which the toddler performs in a funny awkward way, while others stand in row behind. MCU toddler dancing a cross-step; teacher (seen from waist down) does the steps beside her. The next part of the choreography is more complicated. Teacher leaps up and down, landing in fifth position, alternating which foot is in front on each landing and the kid just sort of hops back and forth from one foot to the other. They repeat the whole routine. MCU the smallest girl now alone, wiggles back & forth like the Twist, then stands in one spot while she shimmies and shakes. CU girl rolls her arms then strikes vampish poses, putting her hands on her hips & looking rt. then left. MS young nymphette c. age 10 dressed in shimmery chorus girl outfit, starts with leaping from side to side and clicking her heels together in the air, then continues with a jazzy dance. The next girl in a more childish dress does a series of walkovers. MLS teacher performing fast pirouettes. | |
