Exhibition dance by the Premiere Ballerina Vera Savina. London MS Savina moving her arms in and out. Zoom out to LS; Savina goes up on pointe and bouree's toward cam w/ tiny steps. Arabesques to one side then other, etc. MS Savina from waist down, doing pirouettes en arabesque. Back to LS for more dancing around; chaine turns first in one direction then the other. MS Savina's legs doing fast steps on her toes in sous-su (a tight fifth position). LS She pas de bouree's all around the stage. Pirouettes downstage toward cam. MLS Slow-motion pirouettes (with raised leg - lifted to knee). Film trick (fun but not perfectly done) shows MCU Savina holding a miniature version of herself on the palm of her hand and watching the mini-self dance. | |
