Phyllis Haylor and Alec Millar holders of the World's Ballroom Championship in 1925 and the World's Tango Championship of 1924 give cinema audiences some dancing tips. Shows examples of the common mistakes in arm position. Another mistake: MS couple's feet and legs, dancing up on their toes. Correct

Title Card: "How often do we see dancing spoilt by a few small faults which could easily be avoided. For instance there's the couple whose arm work resembles a pump handle - " GVs several couples dancing on set made to look a gazebo, the couple closest to the camera is dancing with their arms sticking out. Title Card: "- and the straight arm variety." GV couples dancing, the bad dancers up in front have their arms placed high in the air. Title Card: "Some do not trouble to hold at all - " GV couples dancing w/a couple in front dancing very close only holding each other with one arm, very relaxed. Title Card: "-while others keep at a distance." GV couples dancing, man in front holds his partner at arms length. Title Card: "Here is the correct hold for the waltz or fox-trot." MS Phyllis and Alec dancing, showing us how it's done. Title Card: "For the tango, the arms should be bent a little more." - MS Phyllis and Alec demonstrating the correct way to hold our partners. Title Card: "Another common fault is dancing on the toes." CU of the feet as the couple makes this mistake. Title Card: "- when the correct way is to keep the heels down." CU feet as the correct stance is shown. Title Card: "...how the turn is made-when the gentleman's right foot is forward, the lady turns on the left heel." CU feet showing the proper way to turn.
