| Description: | DARLING I LOVE YOU Scenes from "Darling, I Love You" at the Gaiety, London, starring George Clark, Neil McKay, Vera Lennox & Harold French. Stage set is exterior of large house. Actors George Clarke & Neil McKay & a woman drive up in automobile. Car goes into reverse and backs up a few yards into hedge. Guy in rumble seat cclimbs out through front seat, tripping over the driver, they both fall out in a heap. WS tilt down stage: car is jerking forward and back, shaking, skidding, etc. while a bunch of young men & women watch and dodge out of the way. Finally the 2 passengers come running and jump on back of car as it drives away. Next this scene is shown at fast speed. Dance scene w/ Vera Lennox & Harold French, on same set. They perform energetic dance w/ high kicks, he lifts her onto his shoulder, etc. etc. Ends w/ her leaning toward him as if for a kiss, then pulling him w/ her offstage. Next Clarke & McKay do some more comic business, trying to peek through a high window. | |
