Traditional rag follows presentation of degrees to male and female students of University College. Panning shot of a group of young women in caps and gowns, each hold their degree certificate, they seem in high spirits! Brief high angled shot of a thronging mass of students. Various shots of a group of students in fancy dress, they mess about for the camera, one of them holds a jokey placard that reads - "free haircuts for lady students". M/S of another group of students in fancy dress, they appear to be singing raucously, one man in spectacles appears to be dressed as a convict (he has arrows drawn all over his mackintosh). Various low angled shots of a man dressed a bit like Charlie Chaplin, he takes a swig from a whiskey bottle and appears to be giving a comical speech, the man in the spectacles stands behind him with several other students, at one point one of them waves a flag. | |
