M/S Transport Minister Ernest Marples bending down and looking at meter. C/U smoke meter. M/S and C/U Marples, C/U driver looking out. C/U Marples talking to officials. L/S as another truck is directed into the check station by policemen. M/S Marples standing back as smoke belches from the truck's exhaust. C/U of the truck driver Albert Arthur. M/S Marples watching the meter as it checks the amount of smoke. C/U meter registering very high. M/S as Mr Marples hands the driver the ticket banning him from using the truck until the problem is fixed. C/U ticket, pan to Mr Arthur.
