| Description: | DOG DAYS Shots of dogs doing various silly dog tricks, w/ the help of film tricks from a "process camera" which makes certain parts go backward, stop motion or change speed. Dogs at obedience school. MLS man sits on stool lecturing to group of dogs who sit around him in a sort of semi-circle. MCU dogs looking attentive. MS man teaches dogs to sit up and beg. MCU man kneels beside a puppy sitting on a crate. Dog peeking around corner of house. CU puppy. Dog walking through yard in front of house. MCU puppy jumps off box, then via backward film seems to jump back up. MS the dog in the yard stands up on hind legs and falls over backward as if fainting! This may be the puppy's mother. CU the bitch, named Blanche, seen sitting up in chair; she opens her mouth wide, then puts her paw in her mouth. Next she reaches up w/ her paw and rubs her head. Title said "Oh what a night!" In both last shots some movements are repeated. Next, Blanche does a little dance on the sidewalk leading to front steps of house; she walks on her hind legs, turns around etc. Next, some crazy tail chasing - she spins around in a frenzy trying to chomp on her own tail. Then they run this backwards - the tail's chasing the dog! Then speed it up. MLS man stands holding up a tray of dog food; the dogs come running. MS same dogs jumping up and down all around the man's legs; this part is in slow-motion , and some times the film is stopped w/ dogs in mid-air. | |
