Opens with (B&W) TLS/MSs medium-sized light-colored dog & tanned young man waterskiing on board in ocean, famed Diamond Head mountain in BG, thereby placing this shot at Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii (angles shot from rear of traveling motorboat; this is a partial transfer of Orig Film 553-02 "Waikiki 1928-29"). Cut to (COLOR) shots of pampered white French poodle resting on red pillow on black & white stain fabric-laden chair, then rolling around, seemingly having a fit (can also found on Master 16, here flipped l to r; this a partial transfer of Orig Film 112-17). Cut to COLOR shots of adorable mutt standing beside gas pump, barking; cut to MS 30ish white man laughing and holding said mutt who is still barking (partial transfer of Orig Film 112-18). Cut to (B&W) shots of white woman and small curly-haired white dog in Ford Roadster convertible pulling away from curb, driving into traffic; MS same dog leaning from car, wind blowing in its face (reversed l to r, the woman driving on the wrong side of the car, much less the road; this a partial transfer of Orig Film 112-20, with the original actually in color, not B&W). Cut to (COLOR) MSs medium-sized shaggy dog sitting on grass, wagging tail, barking at something off-screen. Cut to to COLOR MS cocker spaniel dog being teased with dead fish on hook hanging in air, dog leaping & standing on hind legs; MS shaggy, scraggly medium-sized yellow-haired dog sleeping on dirt road, then hearing noise and giving chase, running off-screen (full transfer of Orig Film 112-29). | |
