Workmen get the explosives ready to demolish the bridge. This is Malmesbury bridge which is to be demolished to make way for a new road. Shot of men by the explosive plunger. It explodes with a cloud of dust and a few pieces thrown in various directions. The dust starts to clear up. Shot of people looking at the remains of the bridge, and some children run across the debris. River Seine, Rouen, France. Pan across the bridge across the Seine. Like the previous one, it is just the spans themselves that are left to be blown. Shot of men jack hammering a hole to place an explosive charge. Shot of the charge being placed.
