LS 3 Citroen jeeps driving in desert, flat area w/ some scattered palm trees, scrub grass; going over sand dunes. 01:46:23 LS crowd lined up on either side as the 3 jeeps approach; old fort in BG left, when they get close people wave. 01:46:48 MLS Audouin-Bubreuil (?) starts to climb out of jeep, French army officers there to greet him, other people in BG. MS A-B gives 2 bags to a civilian man as officers look on. (containing mail?) NOTE: Louis Audouin-Bubreuil served in the French Air Force in both world wars, made voyages like this one, and wrote about his experiences in several books. | |
