| Description: | Easter Seal Appeal Title: Easter Seal Appeal by Ivy Baker Priest Treasurer of the U.S. Sitting at a desk, Ivy Baker Priest says, "Because I believe so strongly in what Easter Seals can do for a crippled child and know personally the great need, I am serving as volunteer national chairman of the 1957 Easter Seal Campaign. And here is the heart of it." She gets up and walks over to a poster with an illustration of a boy holding a crutch. "This child has learned to walk because of Easter Seal care and treatment." Cut to the actual real-life poster child propelling himself with crutches. "See what I mean? Here is Gregory. Please help to strengthen and support children like Gregory in your community. Give generously to Easter Seals." Gregory looks very seriously toward camera. Cut back to Priest, who says, "Give with your heart." She tells the viewers where to send contributions. Title card explains that this was a public service announcement. | |
